Accounts Payable Officer

Madison Recruitment is on the lookout for an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to join a well-known client based in Newmarket. This role plays a critical part in ensuring timely processing and payment of supplier invoices while supporting both suppliers and internal teams to resolve issues efficiently.
 
Key Responsibilities:

  • Invoice & Payment Processing: Accurately process over 300 invoices, manage outgoing payments, resolve Purchase Order matching issues, and handle invoices not automatically processed by Kofax.
  • Supplier & Business Support: Address and resolve queries related to Purchase Orders, and assist in improving financial systems and processes.
  • Reconciliation & Compliance: Reconcile bank statements for all Accounts Payable transactions, clear unsettled payments, complete monthly supplier statement reconciliations, and ensure strict adherence to all Accounts Payable procedures.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Proven experience in high-volume Purchase Order invoice processing.
  • Strong understanding of automated invoice processing systems.
  • Experience in reviewing and enhancing financial systems and processes.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to engage comfortably with business stakeholders, including senior management.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
