Management Accountant / Financial Analyst
NZD85000 - NZD100000 per annum, Benefits: 2 days work from home

We are looking for an experienced Management Accountant for a permanent role in Mt Wellington for a key client of Madison Recruitment’s. 

The role is crucial in delivering financial analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and reporting to drive the financial performance of the business.

You will work closely with the Head of Finance, Commercial Finance Manager, and other key stakeholders to support business strategy and ensure the delivery of short and long-term financial outcomes.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Financial Planning: Lead quarterly forecasting and annual budgeting processes, ensuring input from all key stakeholders. Weekly sales reporting and month-end reconciliations.
  • Month-End Process: Assist in finalising accounts by performing variance analysis, identifying accruals, and providing insightful commentary on budget/forecast deviations.
  • Reporting: Prepare management reports, governance packs, and develop financial/non-financial reporting tools to drive performance.
  • Financial Analysis: Conduct monthly financial analysis, track project benefits, and identify key risks and opportunities. Collaborate with cost center managers to align forecasts and projections.

What are we looking for?

  • Financial Expertise: Management accounting experience with a very solid understanding of MS Excel 
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to create clear, actionable financial models 
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels
  • Problem Solving: Proactive in identifying issues and implementing solutions 
  • Customer Focus: Demonstrated ability to manage relationships and exceed customer expectations
  • Collaboration: A team player who can work cross-functionally to achieve business objectives

There is some flexibility with a hybrid working arrangement – 3 days in the office and 2 days from home.
