Accounts Assistant
NZD68000 - NZD75000 per annum

We’re seeking a skilled and motivated Accounts Assistant to join our client’s team in the heart of Auckland CBD. This is a great part-time opportunity for someone looking to balance professional development with flexible hours, all while making a valuable contribution to a successful organisation.

Location: Auckland CBD 
Work-type: Permanent Part-time 
Hours: Approximately 25-30 hours per week, spread over 4-5 days, with flexibility to suit your preferred schedule (office-based).

About the role:
In this position, you’ll play a key part in supporting the Finance Manager, providing essential support across a variety of financial tasks.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing accounts payable and receivable processes
  • Processing invoices, payments, and collections using MYOB
  • Conducting bank reconciliations and month-end reconciliations
  • Assisting with tax filings and compliance requirements
  • Supporting payroll processing, including monthly/fortnightly tracking through iPayroll
  • Maintaining the Fixed Assets Register
  • Driving weekly and monthly timesheet reviews and ensuring accuracy
  • Monitoring financial transactions and ensuring they are accurately recorded
  • Assisting with financial reporting and analysis tasks as required

To thrive in this role, you will need:

  • At least 1year of accounting experience, ideally within a professional services environment
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to create detailed spreadsheets and reports
  • Experience using MYOB and iPayroll (preferred)
  • Strong attention to detail, with excellent analytical and numerical skills
  • A proactive approach and the ability to manage your workload independently
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative mindset
  • A qualification such as AT or similar would be advantageous but not essential
