Lead the launch of Kontiki Finance’s new venture in Samoa!
Madison Recruitment are proud to be recruiting on behalf of Kontiki Finance, a highly successful financial services provider with over 10 years of experience in Fiji and listed on the South Pacific Stock Exchange (SPX).
Following their success in Fiji, Kontiki Finance is expanding its operations to Samoa and is looking for a Country Manager to lead this exciting new chapter.
This is a high-profile role and will involve networking and working across communities in Samoa to raise the profile of Kontiki Finance.
Key Responsibilities of the role include:
- Strategic Leadership: Drive the setup and growth of Kontiki Finance’s first branch in Samoa, aligning the new office with the company’s broader strategic goals
- Operational Management: Oversee all aspects of the branch launch, ensuring smooth daily operations, effective loan management, and superior customer service
- Financial Oversight: Manage the financial performance of the new Samoan office, including budgeting, forecasting, and ensuring profitability from the start
- Compliance & Governance: Ensure full compliance with local regulations and build strong relationships with regulators and local stakeholders
- Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and lead a new team to ensure the success of Kontiki Finance in Samoa, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence
- Market Expansion: Identify new opportunities for growth and develop products suited to the Samoan market, continuing Kontiki Finance’s legacy of innovation
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration or a related field
- Extensive senior management experience, preferably in financial services
- Proven track record in financial and operational management
- Fluency in English and Samoan – with excellent leadership and communication skills
- Experience in establishing new operations or branches is highly desirable
- Familiarity with Samoan regulations and market dynamics is a plus
