The role:

We are currently seeking a creative and driven Digital Specialist – Content to join their Content & Channels team for a 12-month fixed-term opportunity. In this role, you’ll have the chance to be at the heart of one of their major digital platforms content strategy, creating engaging stories that celebrate the vibrancy of our city and promote it to locals and the world. You’ll be part of a dynamic, close-knit team working to elevate Auckland’s profile through compelling digital content across multiple channels.

About You:

We’re looking for someone with a strong understanding of content strategy and digital marketing, including SEO and search best practices. You should have a proven track record of delivering high-engagement content and a passion for creating impactful digital experiences.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 3-4 years of experience in a digital marketing, content management, or related role, ideally in a fast-paced marketing or digital team.
  • Experience creating content for web, social media, and email campaigns that drives engagement.
  • Strong understanding of SEO and content optimization.
  • Experience managing LinkedIn strategy and execution.
  • Proficiency in channel management (website, eDMs, social media).
  • A collaborative approach, working closely with both internal teams and external partners to bring content strategies to life.
  • Experieence measuring and analysing content performance to inform future strategies.
  • A tertiary qualification in digital marketing, marketing, communications, or a related field (preferred but not essential).
