About the Role

We are excited to be partnering with a global fitness powerhouse to recruit a Commercial Analyst position based in Auckland CBD. The Commercial Analyst is responsible for conducting advanced financial analysis, driving process improvements, and developing Power BI reports. They will serve as a finance subject matter expert, offering valuable guidance and actionable insights to stakeholders to support business success.

Key Responsibilites

Financial Insights and Analysis

  • Deliver in-depth financial analysis to support decision-making and planning.
  • Develop and maintain advanced Power BI reports for strategic and operational needs.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Act as a finance subject matter expert, offering valuable guidance to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with team members to provide actionable financial insights.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and ad hoc leadership reporting.

Pricing, Project Reporting, and Business Cases

  • Provide analysis to support pricing strategy decisions.
  • Manage project portfolio tracking and reporting.
  • Support cross-functional teams in developing and analyzing business cases.

Budgets, Forecasts, and Year-End Audit

  • Participate in budgeting and forecasting, ensuring timely and accurate data.
  • Contribute to the year-end financial audit, supporting auditors and leadership.

Key Performance Measures

  • Accurate and timely audit schedules with no material adjustments.
  • Delivery of agreed process improvements and report developments.
  • Consistent accuracy in project reporting and forecasts.
  • Health and safety compliance, with all incidents and hazards reported within 24 hours.


About You

  • CA Qualified with 5+ years in Big 4 accounting firms or medium/large enterprises.
  • Power BI Specialist with advanced skills in data visualization and financial modelling.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to synthesize data into actionable insights.
  • Proven experience driving process improvements and collaborating across teams.
  • Knowledge of sophisticated accounting software with a passion for excellence.
  • Exceptional communication skills to build effective relationships with stakeholders.
  • Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to thrive under pressure.
