Electrical Draughtsperson

About The Company: Join a leading provider based on the North Shore, specializing in cutting-edge engineering solutions. You will be collaborating with experienced draughtspersons, project managers, engineers, and other team members to improve their customers’ complex, safety-critical operations.

Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced electrical draftsperson/designer to help manage a backlog of as-fitted drawings, and work alongside other team members to ensure the accuracy and quality of design outputs. This is a 6 month Fixed Term Contract.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create detailed drawings from provided information, marked-up drawings, or sketches
  • Design estimation and work scope assessment
  • Preliminary design, including the production of feasibility study reports and design specifications
  • Review and check design work produced by peers for accuracy and compliance with standards
  • Liaise and attend meetings with customer as required

Requirements:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or 5-10 years of relevant work experience
  • Extensive experience in a design drafting role within the electrical engineering field
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential
  • Strong attention to detail with a comprehensive understanding of technical engineering drawing
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with team members and communicate design details clearly
