Looking for a Quantity Surveyor who’s as confident in the forecast as they are on site. Someone who can run the numbers, read the programme, and spot a cost risk before it bites.
You’ll be joining a well-established Tier 2 contractor delivering $5M–$50M commercial builds across Auckland — from office and education to civic and mixed-use projects. This is a business that backs its QS team as strategic partners in delivery, not just a line in the budget.
What you’ll do:
- Take ownership of cost planning, tender analysis, and contract administration
- Manage progress claims, variations, and EOTs with precision and pace
- Lead commercial reporting and forecasting that drives project decisions
- Work side-by-side with site and project managers to keep delivery sharp
- Build strong, results-focused relationships with subcontractors, consultants, and clients
What you’ll bring:
- Proven QS experience in NZ commercial construction — ideally mid to senior level
- Track record on medium–large builds ($5M+) with Tier 1 or Tier 2 contractors
- Strong knowledge of NZS 3910 and modern contract administration practices
- Clear, confident communication and a solutions-first mindset
- Ability to work autonomously while contributing to a high-performing team
