Senior Surveyor

If you know New Zealand civil and earthworks, you know accuracy makes or breaks a project. We’re after a surveyor who can lead from the front, keep designs honest, and run the numbers that drive delivery.

The Role

You’ll join a close survey team working across major Auckland subdivisions, drainage, and roadworks. Expect to run full scope: set-out, cut/fill calcs, as-builts, and claims data. Alongside the technical work, you’ll mentor juniors, check subcontractor outputs, and keep project teams supplied with clean, reliable data.

Responsibilities

  • Set out drainage, roads, boundaries, and structures.
  • Deliver cut/fill calcs, survey drawings, and as-builts.
  • Maintain survey records and base data for claims.
  • Mentor and check junior surveyors’ work.
  • Liaise with PMs, engineers, consultants, and clients.

About You

  • Proven NZ experience in civil/earthworks surveying.
  • 5+ years on site using GPS, total stations, Civil CAD/Magnet, and TBC.
  • Detail-minded, practical, and confident checking others’ work.
  • Drone survey capability a bonus.

Benefits

  • $120K+ depending on experience.
  • Modern survey tech stack
  • Exposure to large-scale civil and earthworks projects.
  • Scope to lead, mentor, and progress within the business

This is where your local experience counts. You’ll be trusted with the accuracy on projects that shape Auckland, backed by a strong pipeline, and given the space to lead and raise the standard for the next generation coming through.
