The Opportunity:

Reporting to the Project Director, you will take ownership of coordinating project delivery, managing stakeholder relationships, and ensuring programme objectives are achieved throughout the construction lifecycle.

The project is scheduled to run through to early 2028 and offers a rare chance to gain valuable international experience while contributing to a major construction development.

As the key interface between the client, consultants, subcontractors, and delivery teams, you will ensure clear communication, maintain programme alignment, and support the successful execution of the works.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the primary day-to-day liaison between the client, consultants, stakeholders, and project team
• Coordinate site teams and subcontractors to maintain programme objectives and project milestones
• Monitor programme performance, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies
• Lead project reporting across programme, commercial performance, and key delivery metrics
• Support cost control, variation management, and contractor performance monitoring
• Facilitate effective communication across multiple stakeholder groups
• Assist with construction planning, logistics, sequencing, and delivery challenges within a remote project environment
• Maintain high standards across safety, quality, and project execution
• Drive project outcomes through leadership, coordination, and proactive problem-solving

About You:

We are open to candidates who bring either Project Management or Project Superintendent experience within a commercial construction environment.

You will ideally have:

• Experience working for a main contractor on medium to large-scale construction projects
• Proven success as a Project Manager, Project Superintendent, Senior Site Manager, or similar leadership role
• Strong stakeholder management and client-facing experience
• Sound understanding of construction programmes, project controls, and delivery processes
• Commercial awareness across variations, budgets, procurement, and subcontractor management
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• A proactive, solutions-focused approach and the ability to work autonomously
• The flexibility and willingness to relocate to Tonga for the duration of the project

Eligibility Requirements:

• Applicants must hold valid New Zealand working rights
• Visa sponsorship for New Zealand employment is not available
• Successful applicants will receive Tonga work visa sponsorship as part of the assignment
