Are you an experienced Health & Safety professional who thrives on building strong relationships and influencing positive safety outcomes? We’re looking for a proactive Health, Safety & Wellbeing Advisor to partner with leaders and teams across the business, helping drive a culture where safety and wellbeing are embedded into everyday operations. 

This role would suit someone who combines strong technical HSE knowledge with outstanding stakeholder engagement skills and has hands-on experience supporting or leading ISO 45001 audits and safety management system improvements.
 
About the Role

As a trusted advisor, you’ll work closely with leaders and employees to provide practical health, safety and wellbeing guidance, identify opportunities for improvement, and support the ongoing development of a positive safety culture. You’ll spend time engaging with teams on site, conducting audits and inspections, supporting investigations, and ensuring safety systems remain effective and compliant.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide practical HSW advice, coaching and support to leaders and employees. 
• Build strong relationships across the business and positively influence safe work practices. 
• Facilitate site audits, inspections, risk assessments and incident investigations. 
• Support and maintain HSW management systems, policies and procedures. 
• Identify critical risks and ensure effective controls are implemented. 
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives and promote employee participation in safety programmes.

About You

We’re looking for someone who can confidently engage with stakeholders at all levels and bring credibility when advising on health and safety matters. You’ll have:

• Experience in a Health, Safety & Wellbeing Advisor or similar role. 
• Strong knowledge of HSW legislation, risk management principles and safety management systems. 
• Proven experience working with ISO 45001 standards, internal or external audits, and preparing organisations for audit requirements. 
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, with the ability to coach and build trust across operational teams and leadership groups. 
• Experience identifying risk and reviewing controls using recognised methodologies such as Bowtie. 
• A continuous improvement mindset and the confidence to challenge existing processes where needed.
