Job Overview:

As an Accounts Receivable Officer, you will play a key role within their dynamic finance team, supporting the sales department in managing all accounts receivable functions. This position ensures that accounts are accurately maintained, payments are collected efficiently, and debtors are managed with professionalism. You will also handle daily bank reconciliations and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to maintain smooth financial operations.
 
 Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the accounts receivable process, including invoicing, issuing statements, and reconciling customer accounts
• Perform credit control tasks: review customer accounts, manage debt collection, and liaise with external stakeholders
• Maintain customer accounts in the ERP system, including setup, PPSR debtor accounts, and Ezidebit setup
• Review and process credit applications, conduct trade reference checks
• Perform daily bank reconciliations to ensure up-to-date records
• Update remittances on cash flow forecasts
• Foster effective communication with both internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure timely resolution of accounts receivable and debt collection matters

 
Position Prerequisites:

• Proven experience in end-to-end receivable process
• The role we are recruiting will have large responsibilities in credit control, including communicating with customers and chasing debts. It also involves bank reconciliation for 4+ bank accounts on a daily basis – similar experience is required
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
• Proficient in financial systems and Excel
