About the Company & Team: You will be part of a large public sector organisation dedicated to looking after their employees and striving to make a positive difference for the communities they serve. Working in the Commercial Services team on key projects and initiatives, you will be operating in a dynamic environment with the common objective of supporting the delivery of the Commercial and Contracts business plan.
About the role: You will be leading and managing the Commercial Services team which will also include leading, supporting and advising on commercial activities across the unit. A key aspect of this role will also involve contributing to the development and knowledge share of commercial best practices with other colleagues, teams and wider division.
Day to day responsibilities:
- Reviewing commercial, financial, and contractual aspects, implications and requirements of specific project or programme areas
- Supporting respective projects with the overarching strategy and planning to progress the project or project specific activitiies
- Reviewing and managing fares and concessions
- Leading and supporting contract and commercial negotiations and outcomes
- Supporting the identification, evaluation and implementation of funding and approvals
About You: You will have substantial commercial advisory/management experience with the ability to understand complex commercial issues, services and capital contracts.
- Extensive commercial advisory/management experience, professional services and/or strategic business management in government or private sector with focus on project delivery and commercial outcomes
- Experience in business case development, preferably in the transport sector
- Previous procurement and project management experience
- Strong personal resilience with the ability to work in a dynamic environment
