The Financial Controller role is a senior leadership role in the group and reports to the CEO.
It’s a diverse role that takes full responsibility for all financial activities within the group with two roles reporting into it.
The key responsibilities of the role include:
Financial Strategy and Planning – developing and executing financial strategies aligned with Hireace’s objectives. Identifying risks and opportunities, preparing annual budgets, and analysing variances. Providing strategic guidance to the CEO.
Financial Management – overseeing all financial operations. Preparing monthly financial statements and comprehensive reports for stakeholders. Preparing the branch KPIs and oversee incentive structures.
Fleet Financing and Cost Management – optimising financing options for the vehicle fleet. Implementing strategies to enhance cost efficiency and operational effectiveness.
Risk Management – identify and mitigate financial risks while maintaining robust internal controls. Overseeing site cash and transaction audits.
Cash Flow Management – manage the cash flow and forecasting to enhance working capital efficiency.
Strategic Planning – collaborate with the executive team to develop and implement
Compliance and Tax/Regulatory Oversight
Team Leadership – leading and mentoring the finance team, as well as category and branch managers.
This is a broad Financial Controller role and as such we are looking for an experienced financial manager who has the commercial skills and technical accounting know-how to excel in the role.
Working closely with the wider management team and the CEO is a key aspect of this role as well as having strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
A new payroll system will be put in next year so someone who has had experience of managing such projects will be highly desirable. Along with this, having that fine eye for detail in all aspects of your job and then having the ability to relay information to the CEO and management team are key.
