Are you an experienced Payroll Manager looking for your next contract opportunity?
We are looking for an experienced Payroll Manager who can start immediately to lead a payroll team of two for a key client of Madison Recruitment’s.
It is responsible for ensuring the seamless processing of payroll for over 1,000 employees – so this is a large and complex organisation.
About the Role:
As the Payroll Manager, you will take charge of end-to-end payroll operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will guide and support a small team while also managing payroll processes for a large workforce.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Oversee and manage the payroll function for over 1,000 employees
- Lead and support a team of two payroll professionals
- Ensure compliance with all relevant payroll legislation and company policies
- Process payroll accurately and on time, handling any discrepancies efficiently
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to provide payroll insights and reporting
- Implement process improvements to enhance payroll efficiency and accuracy
About You:
- Proven experience in a payroll management role
- Strong understanding of New Zealand payroll legislation and compliance
- Experience managing a team and working with large payrolls
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Experience with payroll systems – any exposure or experience with Workday would be wonderful
