Digital Marketing Specialist

We are seeking a talented and driven Digital Marketing Specialist to provide support on a few upcoming exciting events with one of Auckland’s largest organisations. You’ll be part of a dynamic, close-knit team working to elevate Auckland’s profile through compelling digital content across multiple channels.

The role:

We are currently seeking a creative and driven Digital Marketing Specialist to join a team for a 6-month temporary. In this role, you’ll have the chance to be at the heart of one of their major digital platforms content strategies, creating engaging stories that celebrate the vibrancy of our city and promote it to locals and the world.
 

  • ASAP start – end of October
  • CBD location
  • $35 – $40 per hour + 8% holiday pay
  • Full-time, 40 hours per week (more potential hours over the weekend for event days, however this won’t be often)


Key duties will include:

 

  • Manage, optimise, and support digital channels, including the website, eDMs, and social media campaigns.
  • Optimise content for search engines in line with best practice SEO.
  • Manage and maintain the website and other micro sites, including creating, editing, and publishing new and existing content.
  • Plan, execute, and optimise paid social media campaigns, primarily on LinkedIn.
  • Deliver eDMs to support events, newsletters, and ongoing engagement initiatives.
  • Track and report on the performance of digital content and campaigns using analytics tools, providing insights to inform future planning.
  • Ensure content is aligned with brand guidelines, tone of voice, and audience needs.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and subject matter experts to shape and deliver effective content.
  • Contribute to content planning and scheduling through the maintenance of a content calendar

 
About You:

We’re looking for someone with strong experince in social media, eDM and website, ideally with B2B experience. You should have a proven track record of delivering high-engagement content and a passion for creating impactful digital experiences.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 3-4 years of experience in a digital marketing, content management, or related role, ideally in a fast-paced marketing or digital team.
  • Experience creating content for web, social media, and email campaigns that drives engagement.
  • Strong understanding of SEO and content optimization.
  • Experience managing LinkedIn strategy and execution.
  • Proficiency in channel management (website, eDMs, social media).
  • A collaborative approach, working closely with both internal teams and external partners to bring content strategies to life.
  • Experience measuring and analysing content performance to inform future strategies.
  • A tertiary qualification in digital marketing, marketing, communications, or a related field (preferred but not essential).
