Manager Franchise Commercial

Madison Recruitment are partnering exclusively with the largest and fastest-growing accommodation provider in New Zealand, with 43 properties across NZ & Fiji – to recruit a Franchise Commercial Manager position located on Auckland’s North Shore.

About the role:

The Franchise Commercial Manager will ideally come from a Property or Legal background and will report directly to the COO.

The role supports the commercial business objectives by using proven systems, policies, and procedures, in relation to the organisation and its franchise locations, specifically:

  • To ensure they are seen as “tenant of choice” in the minds of decision-makers for landlords and other property stake holders in New Zealand, through proactive support of franchisees and their obligations and rights pursuant to their lease
  • Manage the franchise renewal and sale process
  • Supporting compliance of franchise locations
  • Oversight and supporting franchisees with their approved maintenance and upkeep programmes
  • Commissioning of new buildings with development teams
  • Instruct and manage key advisors on legal and valuation matters
  • Update and report to the COO and other stakeholders on regular basis

About you:

  • Background – A background in Property / Legal is ideal as there is a substantial amount of property contract work involved
  • Relationship Management – Excellent relationship building skills and ability to communicate at all levels
  • Franchise Management – Proven history of Franchise Management, Compliance Management, and experience handling multi-site accounts.
  • Organised & Proactive– You will be proactive and have high attention to detail with an ability to manage priorities efficiently
  • Autonomous – You will be independent with the ability to self-manage and self-motivate
  • Culture Fit – This is a very people orientated organisation who believe in genuine connections and showing integrity in the way they work and conduct themselves

This role is based in a highly desirable part of Auckland’s North Shore with a car park. There is an annual bonus scheme on top of the base salary. 

Please note this is a 5 day in the office role. It’s a critical position that liaises heavily with the wider team.
