They are now seeking a capable and proactive Inventory & Operations Coordinator to join their high-performing, close-knit team. This is a great opportunity to make a real impact in a varied role that requires precision, initiative, and a solutions-focused mindset.
About the Role
This is a key role within the operations function, sitting across inventory management, procurement, warehousing coordination, returns, and admin compliance. You’ll be a critical link between internal teams, suppliers, and third-party logistics providers – ensuring smooth daily operations, accurate stock movement, and a high standard of service delivery.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Inventory & Warehousing
- Conduct daily stock audits and maintain reconciliation records
- Prepare regular reporting on stock, pricing, and product updates
- Assist with internal stocktakes, warehouse organisation, and H&S procedures
- Monitor and action stock movement discrepancies, damages and rework items
- Procurement & Returns
- Process local purchase orders and support shipment coordination
- Manage courier accounts and freight reconciliation
- Process credits and returns with suppliers, customers, and sales reps
- Oversee spare parts, bulk returns, and product servicing
- Administration & Compliance
- Maintain product, pricing and supplier databases
- Assist with invoicing discrepancies and document control
- Attend internal operations and inventory meetings
- Support wider administrative tasks across the office and warehouse environment
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in inventory, warehousing, or retail operations — ideally within hardware, garden, or trade-related sectors
- High attention to detail with strong Excel and data entry skills
- Solid understanding of stock systems and supply chain processes
- Proactive communicator with excellent problem-solving ability
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
- Full NZ driver’s licence required; forklift licence beneficial
