About Our Client:

Our client is a national force in the commercial services space, delivering critical solutions to sectors like construction, facilities management, and health. They are an Australian business who have been operating in New Zealand for over 10 years and they are going from strength to strength! 

They are growing and they want to kick on!  They need a Business Development Manager who lives and breathes sales to lead the charge in New Zealand (based in Auckland).

About The Role:
 

As the NZ Business Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in expanding the presence in the market by actively seeking new business opportunities and cultivating partnerships with commercial entities. There are leads passed through from digital marketing and there is already an established client base in New Zealand so you aren’t starting from scratch. 

Day To Day Responsibilities:

  • Proactively identify and pursue new leads through cold calling and networking
  • Lead negotiations and secure contracts with commercial clients
  • Book, attend and close face-to-face appointments with commercial clients
  • Cultivate and nurture strong relationships with both existing and potential clients
  • Conduct site assessments and measurements
  • Prepare and submit quotes and tenders
  • Navigate tenders, proposals, and quotes with support from estimating teams
  • Leverage your understanding of B2B sales to drive consistent pipeline growth
  • Keep your CRM tight, your pipeline full, and your targets crushed
  • Be the point of difference – clients will remember you for how you show up and follow through

You’ll Thrive In This Role If You Are:

  • A natural hunter – you like to chase new business, not mind existing accounts
  • Experienced in B2B sales (3+ years), ideally in construction, industrial, or commercial services
  • Skilled with proposals, tenders, and building rapport with everyone from tradies to CEOs
  • A self-starter who doesn’t need hand-holding
  • Tech-savvy – Salesforce, MS Office, CRM tools? You’re all over it.
  • Practical, adaptable, and energetic – you’re just as comfortable on-site as in a strategy meeti

  • A strong commitment to safety and quality standards
