Senior Events Manager

This is an opportunity to step into a role where event delivery meets experience design. Working alongside the Head of Partnerships & Engagement, you’ll help bring to life a programme of high-profile events that connect and inspire some of Aotearoa’s most senior decision-makers.

We’re looking beyond traditional event experience. This role will suit someone who thrives on execution, brings energy and initiative, and is eager to grow. If you’re someone who is driven, quick-thinking, and passionate about creating memorable moments, we want to hear from you.

About the Organisation

Our client is a well-established, purpose-led organisation delivering leadership and development programmes to senior professionals across New Zealand.
Following a period of transformation, the focus is on lifting capability, strengthening delivery, and expanding impact.
While grounded in purpose, the environment moves at pace and holds a high bar for quality. The culture is collaborative, ambitious, and outcomes-driven, ideal for someone who enjoys ownership, autonomy, and working closely with senior stakeholders.

About the Role

As Senior Events Manager, you’ll play a key role in shaping and delivering a diverse portfolio of events attended by New Zealand’s most influential leaders-CEOs, board members, Chairs, and public sector decision-makers.
You’ll take approved briefs and turn them into seamless, engaging experiences. From the first idea through to on-the-day delivery, you’ll think about how each event feels, flows, and leaves a lasting impression.
This is a hands-on role with strong development potential, perfect for someone who is highly capable, eager to learn, and ready to step up.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Deliver end-to-end events across flagship, partner, regional, and online formats
  • Bring event briefs to life thinking about flow, atmosphere, and experience
  • Manage logistics including venues, suppliers, catering, run sheets, and guest coordination
  • Support the planning of an annual events programme across multiple channels
  • Continuously look for ways to improve formats, engagement, and overall impact
  • Maintain accurate CRM data and support post-event follow-up

About You

  • Experience delivering events (corporate, agency, or professional services environments preferred)
  • Confident working with senior stakeholders or keen to build this capability
  • Highly organised, adaptable, and comfortable in a fast-moving environment
  • Energetic, proactive, and solutions-focused with a “can-do” mindset
  • Strong attention to detail with a passion for quality and experience
  • Hungry to learn, grow, and take ownership
  • Experience with CRM systems (HubSpot advantageous but not essential)

Why This Opportunity?

  • Build relationships with some of New Zealand’s most senior and influential leaders
  • Gain exposure that will accelerate your career and professional network
  • Be part of creating meaningful, high-quality experiences – not just delivering events
  • Work in a purpose-driven organisation with tangible impact
  • Join a collaborative, high-performing team in modern Auckland CBD offices

This role is ideal for someone motivated by growth, exposure, and opportunity where the experience, network, and career runway are just as valuable as the role itself.
