Technical Sales Support

About the Company 
Our client, Cuthbert Stewart ltd is a long-established and respected provider of electrical products and solutions, operating in New Zealand since 1948. With an extensive product portfolio including Siemens, Fluke, Weidmueller, Katko, Rittal, and Robus.
 
They provide products and solutions to electrical wholesale, power utilities, OEMs, and industrial customers. The business is built on a strong commitment of technical expertise and customer service. 
As the business continues to grow, they are looking to welcome another Technical Sales Support Specialist to the team.
 
The Role 
This is a technically focused, customer centric role well suited for someone who enjoys problem‑solving and applying technical knowledge in a commercial environment.
Working closely with sales, operations, and customers, you’ll be a key technical interface across both pre‑ and post‑sales activities, ensuring customers receive practical, accurate, and timely technical advice.
 

  • Provide technical advice and product support to internal teams and customers
  • Support pre‑ and post‑sales enquiries, including troubleshooting.
  • Scope customer requirements and assist with quotations and solution recommendations
  • Assist with basic design and product recommendation
  • Liaise with sales, order management, warehousing, and distribution teams
  • Deliver a consistently high standard of professional customer service

 
Comprehensive in-house training will be provided. 
 
About You 
 

  • Background in the electrical industry or related discipline
  • Experience gained either on the tools, through graduate roles,  or in a technical sales/support
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills 
  • Logical, practical, and solution-focused mindset
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise, and adapt in a fast‑paced environment
  • Confidence in your technical ability and a can‑do attitude
  • A collaborative approach with a strong customer‑first focus
  • Exposure to CRM systems and Microsoft Office (advantageous, not essential)
