We are seeking a flexible and reliable Service Delivery Coordinator to join the team
This role suits someone who enjoys being out and about, working with the public, and supporting community events across Auckland.
About the role
As a Service Delivery Coordinator, you will travel to community centres to support booked events and ensure venues are safe, compliant, and set up correctly. You’ll be the council’s on‑site representative, working directly with venue hirers and responding to issues in real time.
Key responsibilities
- Opening and closing council venues
- Conducting venue and space checks
- Setting up and packing down rooms and equipment
- Meeting, supporting, and checking in with venue hirers
- Carrying out alcohol host responsibilities when required
- Managing noise complaints or minor incidents as they arise
- Reporting hazards, damage, and maintenance issues through established systems
Hours and flexibility
- Variable hours on a rotating roster
- Shifts may include:
- Evenings (typically 4:00pm – 12:30am)
- Day shifts
- Weekends
- Rostered Monday through Sunday
- A high level of availability and flexibility is essential
What we’re looking for
- Full, clean driver’s licence (required)
- Ability to pass a drug test
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Reliable, safety‑focused, and well organised
- Basic computer confidence
- Physically capable of being on your feet and completing regular manual handling
- Comfortable working early mornings, evenings, and weekends
