We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional on behalf of our client, a regulatory organisation, for a Senior Claims Specialist position. As a key member of our claims department, you will be responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of claims with a focus on delivering exceptional service to customers. Our client is looking for someone with a strong insurance background who is looking to bring their skills to a new environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end management of complex claims, ensuring prompt and accurate assessment, investigation, and settlement.
- Provide expert guidance and support to junior claims handlers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
- Liaise effectively with internal stakeholders to ensure comprehensive risk assessment and mitigation strategies.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with external parties, representing the company’s interests with professionalism and integrity.
- Keep on top of industry developments and regulatory changes, contributing insights and recommendations to enhance our claims management processes.
Requirements:
- Extensive experience in insurance claims management, with a focus on commercial lines preferred.
- Strong technical knowledge of insurance policies, coverage, and regulations.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to interact confidently with stakeholders at all levels.
- Proven leadership capabilities, with a track record of mentoring and developing team members.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to assess complex situations and make informed decisions.
- Relevant professional qualifications or certifications in insurance or risk management are desirable.
