Our client is a not-for-profit organisation committed to creating an internet that benefits all of Aotearoa. They provide the infrastructure, security, and support needed to keep New Zealand’s internet safe and accessible for everyone. Currently, they are focused on embedding Te Tiriti o Waitangi across all areas of their work, recognising its foundational role in Aotearoa. They are also dedicated to ensuring the internet and the .nz domain support the country’s economy and collective wellbeing, while promoting an inclusive, innovative, and secure digital environment for all New Zealanders.
 
What you’ll be doing:

We’re on the lookout for a Membership Coordinator to join the team on a 12-month fixed-term contract, starting ASAP!
This is a key role within the business, supporting a large number of new members who require onboarding and ongoing care. The role is primarily email-based – no phone work involved – and we’re looking for someone with strong written communication skills, the ability to think critically, and confidence managing a high-volume inbox. 

Some of the tasks involved in this role will be:

  • Maintaining accurate records and ensuring all member communication is up to date and well-documented in the company’s CRM system
  • Supporting member communications, using pre-prepared or scripted content
  • Assisting with reporting requirements for the leadership team, including governance and organisational reports, as well as contributing to a member survey
  • Managing a busy inbox — responding promptly to queries and handling any escalations appropriately
  • Providing support with event coordination and logistics as needed

What we’re looking for:

  • Someone super organised, detail-oriented, and calm under pressure
  • A natural problem solver who enjoys creating structure and improving systems
  • You will have excellent writing capability and a natural people person, we need someone with good stakeholder management skills
  • Someone with strong systems knowledge, be able to pick up new ways of doing things quickly and at ease
  • Proficiency in Google Suite and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • knowledge of tikanga and te ao Māori including Te Tiriti principles – would be advantageous, but not essential!
