About the Role
The Senior Financial Accountant will lead financial reporting and analysis during a three-month temporary assignment. They will manage one direct report and collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure accurate financial records and timely reporting. The role requires prioritising competing demands and utilising advanced Microsoft Office skills to support financial operations in a fast-paced environment.
Day to Day Responsibilities
- Prepare and review financial statements ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Collaborate with stakeholders to collect and verify financial information
- Analyse financial results to support business decision-making
- Manage and prioritise workload to meet tight deadlines
- Provide guidance and oversight to one direct report
- Maintain confidentiality and demonstrate professionalism
Skills & Experience Required
The ideal candidate is CA qualified or holds a relevant tertiary qualification with 3-5 years of professional accounting experience. Strong analytical abilities, attention to detail, and excellent interpersonal skills are essential. They must be resilient, adaptable, and able to work effectively in a team across a matrix structure.
- CA qualified preferred with relevant tertiary qualification
- 3-5 years’ professional experience in financial accounting
- Advanced skills in MS Excel and Microsoft Office applications
- Strong communication skills and ability to engage across all levels
- Organisational skills to manage conflicting priorities efficiently
