Performance Analyst

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a large, high-profile public sector organisation that plays a key role in delivering services to communities across Auckland. The Opportunity

Our client is seeking a capable Performance Analyst to join their Corporate Strategy & Business Planning team on a 3-month contract. This is an intermediate-level role, suited to someone with 5–8 years of experience in performance analysis and business reporting.

The role has been created due to an internal departure and is essential to maintaining the delivery of accurate and timely reporting for executive and governance stakeholders.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing monthly performance reports for senior leaders and governance bodies.
  • Liaising with internal teams to gather and consolidate performance data.
  • Producing regular reports using Power BI, Excel, and/or Business Objects.
  • Responding to ad hoc data and reporting requests.
  • Supporting quarterly business reviews and tracking key strategic initiatives.
  • Providing analytical support for strategic projects, as required.

About You

We’re looking for someone who brings:

  • 5–8 years of experience in performance analysis, business reporting, or a related analytical role.
  • Strong working knowledge of Power BI and Excel (Business Objects experience a bonus).
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate data into meaningful insights.
  • A collaborative mindset with strong interpersonal skills, able to build effective working relationships across diverse teams and business units.
