About the Role
We’re looking for an Appointment Coordinator to manage patient scheduling within a fast-paced healthcare environment. This role is primarily phone-based, involving detailed conversations with patients to coordinate appointments and provide key information. You’ll work closely with clinical teams to ensure smooth and efficient service delivery.
Responsibilities
- Manage high-volume, phone-based patient bookings and rescheduling
- Accurately enter and update patient information in clinical systems
- Communicate complex procedure details clearly over the phone
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimise appointment schedules
- Handle patient enquiries promptly via phone and email
- Maintain waiting lists and follow organisational booking policies
About You
- Experience in healthcare appointment scheduling, preferably in a clinical setting
- Comfortable managing numerous calls and patient interactions daily
- Strong data entry and IT system skills (e.g., PIMS)
- Excellent verbal communication skills, especially over the phone
- Empathetic with the ability to handle sensitive conversations tactfully
- Highly organised with great attention to detail
