About the Role

We’re looking for an Appointment Coordinator to manage patient scheduling within a fast-paced healthcare environment. This role is primarily phone-based, involving detailed conversations with patients to coordinate appointments and provide key information. You’ll work closely with clinical teams to ensure smooth and efficient service delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Manage high-volume, phone-based patient bookings and rescheduling
  • Accurately enter and update patient information in clinical systems
  • Communicate complex procedure details clearly over the phone
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimise appointment schedules
  • Handle patient enquiries promptly via phone and email
  • Maintain waiting lists and follow organisational booking policies

About You

  • Experience in healthcare appointment scheduling, preferably in a clinical setting
  • Comfortable managing numerous calls and patient interactions daily
  • Strong data entry and IT system skills (e.g., PIMS)
  • Excellent verbal communication skills, especially over the phone
  • Empathetic with the ability to handle sensitive conversations tactfully
  • Highly organised with great attention to detail
