An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Registered Nurse to step into a leadership role within a highly regarded and well-respected aged care facility.
This is a rewarding position that combines clinical expertise, people leadership skills, and operational know-how to ensure residents receive excellent patient-centred care. Working closely with the wider leadership team, you wil help coordinate daily operations, support clinical decision-making and provide guidance to nursing and care teams.
About the role
You will play a key role in the smooth running of a busy care unit by:
- Coordinating day-to-day resident care and clinical operations
- Supporting admissions, transfers, and care planning processes
- Providing leadership, coaching, and guidance to nursing and care staff
- Managing staffing rosters and workforce coordination
- Supporting quality, risk, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensuring high standards of clinical practice and resident wellbeing are maintained
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, residents, and whānau to deliver excellent outcomes.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Current New Zealand Registered Nurse practising certificate
- Previous experience in aged residential care or a similar healthcare environment
- Proven leadership and coordination experience
- Strong clinical assessment and care planning skills
- Excellent communication, organisational, and relationship-building abilities
- A genuine passion for supporting older people to live well and with dignity
