Accounts Payable Temp

We are seeking a capable and detail-focused Accounts Assistant to join a busy finance team on a temporary basis. This is a great opportunity for someone with accounts payable experience who enjoys high-volume processing and wants to broaden their exposure across core finance functions, including month-end activities.

Supporting a growing organisation during a peak operational period, you’ll play an important role in helping manage increased transaction volumes and ensuring the smooth delivery of day-to-day finance operations.

What you’ll be doing
Reporting to the Accountant, you will support the finance team with a range of transactional accounting responsibilities during a particularly busy period driven by significant customer intake volumes and associated financial processing requirements.

Key responsibilities

  • Accounts payable processing
  • Supplier invoice management
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Payment processing
  • Maintaining accurate financial records
  • Assisting with commission payments and related reconciliations
  • Supporting month-end processes and working papers
  • General finance administration as required

About the role

  • Temporary assignment through to mid-September
  • Auckland CBD location
  • Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm

What we’re looking for
To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • Previous experience in an Accounts Assistant, Accounts Clerk or Accounts Payable position
  • 2-3 years’ experience within a finance or accounting support function
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Confident reconciliation skills
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
  • A proactive and hands-on approach
  • The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative working style
