An established civil infrastructure contractor is seeking a highly capable Project Engineer or Project Manager to join its growing team in Takanini.

This is a broad, hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys taking ownership of projects from initial client discussions and pricing through to delivery, handover and ongoing client support. You’ll be managing multiple stormwater, wastewater and infrastructure projects while working closely with clients, consultants, subcontractors and field crews.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage civil infrastructure projects from estimate to completion.
• Prepare quotations, estimates and tender submissions.
• Coordinate subcontractors, materials, equipment and labour.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships.
• Manage project budgets, progress claims and variations.
• Oversee project quality, documentation and handovers.
• Identify new business opportunities and support company growth.
• Ensure high standards of health, safety, environmental and quality performance.

What We’re Looking For

• Engineering qualification (Level 7 or equivalent).
• 4+ years’ experience within civil construction, infrastructure, utilities or a related sector in New Zealand.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with clients, consultants and site teams.
• Commercially minded with experience in estimating, pricing, procurement or contract administration.
• Practical, proactive and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
