Rostering Coordinator

Madison Recruitment is partnering with a large, complex organisation delivering critical frontline services across the North Shore. We are seeking a highly organised Coordinator to take ownership of daily rostering and play a key role in keeping operations running smoothly.

About the role
This is a fast-moving, high-impact position where no two days are the same. You will sit at the centre of operations, ensuring rosters are accurate, gaps are filled quickly, and stakeholders are kept informed.

Success in this role comes from your ability to stay calm under pressure, think ahead, and make smart decisions in real time. You will be trusted to balance competing priorities while maintaining service continuity and supporting a large workforce.

Contract: 3 month temporary position
Location: Either South Auckland or CBD depending on your preference
Start date: Immediate 

What you will be doing

  • Managing and maintaining daily rosters across a busy operational environment
  • Proactively identifying gaps and securing cover at short notice
  • Coordinating leave and ensuring appropriate backfill is in place
  • Planning ahead for vacancies and mitigating risk before issues arise
  • Acting as the go-to contact for rostering and workforce queries
  • Building strong relationships with operational leaders and support teams
  • Communicating changes, risks, and updates clearly and confidently
  • Keeping systems and records accurate and up to date

  • Clear and professional communication skills

  • Solid systems capability across Microsoft Office and databases
