Customer Service Representatives

Our client is a well-established government organisation in Palmerston North and we are recruiting for confident and articulate Customer Service Representatives to work in their inbound Contact Centre.

The role: The team is diverse, the work is interesting and fast paced, and no two days are the same!

As a Customer Service Representative, you will take inbound phone calls from customers who wish to enquire about services or have a question dealt with. You will be processing enquiries and providing first call resolutions to the customer over the phone.

You will be responsible for:

  • Answering inbound calls from member of the public.
  • Providing accurate information to general enquiries.
  • Operating with a high quality of customer service through fast and efficient response times.

This is a fast paced, high-volume environment so expect your days to fly by!


Dates:
Starting on 6th May for 8 months, with opportunities for longer-term or permanent positions.
Shifts: Successful applicants will be placed on a rotating roster between Monday to Sunday (7 days a week) 
Training: Mandatory training starts 6th May and is approximately 30 hours per week either Monday – Thursday OR Tuesday – Friday.
Hours: 25 hours per week guaranteed between the hours of 6am – 1am, with opportunity to pick up more.

We are happy to consider you as long as you are available for a minimum of any 5 days across a 7-day week as long as you are available for both Saturdays and Sunday working. 

Applicants should have:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Previous Customer Service experience either phone-based or face-to-face
  • Intermediate computer skills
  • You MUST be available to attend 4 weeks training 4 days a week 8am – 4pm.

Training and Career Development

  • Your first few weeks will consist of well-structured training, and going forward you will be paired with highly experienced staff members and mentors for further support. 
  • Ongoing learning and development is offered – gain work experience in other areas, receive one-on-one coaching and feedback.
