Category Marketing Manager

Are you a hands-on, highly organised marketer with a love for fashion? We’re looking for an experienced Brand or Category Marketing Manager to step into a key role within a major New Zealand retail brand – overseeing end-to-end marketing activity across their fashion category.

The role: You’ll join a high-performing brand and creative team during a busy period, taking ownership of the fashion marketing calendar across digital, social, print, TV, and in-store channels. This is a dynamic, fast-paced role where no two days are the same – think campaign planning, briefing and overseeing photoshoots, managing stakeholder relationships, and keeping a lot of moving parts ticking along smoothly.

You’ll be reporting to a down-to-earth, supportive leader who values collaboration, initiative, and a strong sense of aesthetic.

Day to day:

  • Own and deliver the marketing plan for the fashion category
  • Lead campaign execution across digital, TV, print, social, and in-store
  • Coordinate and supervise fashion photoshoots
  • Brief content for EDMs and social channels; manage campaign calendars
  • Collaborate with merch teams and buyers on upcoming product launches
  • Keep projects on track – from shoot schedules to creative approvals
  • Partner closely with internal creative and content teams to deliver cohesive campaign


Start:
Immediate start – 3-month duration (with potential to get extended or go permanent)

Days & Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday 

About You: 

  • 3+ years’ experience in a senior marketing role (Category or Brand Manager level)
  • Experience working in retail fashion is essential – ideally with a larger, high-volume brand
  • Exceptional organisational skills and ability to juggle multiple projects under tight timelines
  • A strong aesthetic eye with a genuine passion for fashion and styling
  • Hands-on, proactive and pragmatic – you’re not afraid to roll your sleeves up to get things done
  • Experienced working with creatives, buyers, merchandisers, and wider marketing teams
  • Confident supervising or supporting on fashion photography and content shoots
  • Familiar with multi-channel campaign delivery (digital, direct, social, OOH, TVC)
