About the Role
This is a key operational and strategic role where you’ll be responsible for:

• Overseeing daily business operations and leading 5 direct reports
• Signing off on all business spending and reporting to the Directors
• Facilitating morning briefings and managing escalations
• Updating procedures and driving continuous improvement
• Creating and executing strategic plans for national growth
• Exploring opportunities in new markets (Taranaki, Waikato, Bay of Plenty and the South Island)
• Collaborating closely with the outgoing CEO for a seamless transition
• Travelling throughout New Zealand as required

 
What You’ll Need to Succeed
You’ll bring a strong mix of leadership, accountability, and interpersonal skills. Specifically, we’re looking for someone with:

• Compassion and integrity – these are non-negotiables
• A proven ability to “make things happen” and take ownership
• Solid understanding of accounts/financial reporting
• Exceptional people management and team leadership skills
• Experience in operational leadership roles—ideally in trade, construction, or recruitment
• Comfort working autonomously and making big-picture decisions
