Contract Specialist

Our client is seeking a skilled Contract Specialist for a temporary 3 month assignment to support the Metro Services team. 

We’re looking for a commercially minded professional with excellent analytical skills and a proactive approach to solving complex business challenges.

Specific:

  • Full time, Monday to Friday
  • $35- 40 per hour + 8% holiday pay
  • Offices based in Auckland CBD
  • ASAP start – 3 months, permanent opportunities available

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Contract Processing Manager and Contracts Managers in managing service contract changes, variations, KPIs, and monthly contract payments.
  • Ensure accurate financial documentation and reconciliation of approximately 250 contract variations per year.
  • Liaise with internal teams and external PT service providers to manage service changes and contractual obligations.
  • Maintain and administer all contractual data and records using internal systems and SharePoint.
  • Prepare accurate, timely reporting and analysis on contractual obligations, expenditure, and performance.
  • Lead and implement process improvements across contract and payment systems.
  • Forecast contract expenditure to ensure budget compliance and purchasing alignment.

 
You must have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Management Studies, or Business Studies.
  • 3+ years’ experience in business and commercial analysis roles.
  • Proven ability to manage, analyse, and reconcile complex data sets.
  • Advanced Excel skills (including PivotTables and formulas).
  • Experience working with SAP or similar ERP systems (purchasing, contract management, accounts payable).
  • Strong understanding of data warehouse and reporting tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset and high attention to detail.
