About the Role This is a full‑time contract role supporting ongoing design, modification, and change activities across operational electrical systems. You will work as part of an established engineering team, delivering end‑to‑end electrical engineering outputs rather than purely advisory or review‑based work.

The role suits a senior engineer who is comfortable working autonomously, making sound technical decisions, and taking accountability for design quality, compliance, and safety considerations.

Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities

  • Deliver electrical designs, calculations, and technical solutions across change activities
  • Support engineering change and modification initiatives throughout the lifecycle
  • Conduct technical investigations, analysis, and risk assessments
  • Ensure compliance with applicable standards, regulations, and internal engineering processes
  • Produce and review high‑quality technical documentation
  • Participate in technical reviews and stakeholder discussions
  • Provide technical guidance and support to peers as required

Contract Duration 12 months
Days / Hours Full‑time, business hours

About You You are a capable and experienced Electrical Engineer who enjoys hands‑on technical work and clear accountability.

Your background includes:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
  • 7+ years’ experience in electrical engineering roles
  • Experience in asset‑intensive, regulated, or safety‑critical environments
  • Strong design ownership and documentation capability
  • Ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively with wider teams
  • Clear and professional communication skills

This role supports work within a regulated environment. As such, appointment is contingent on the ability to obtain and maintain an appropriate New Zealand government security clearance.
