The role
We are recruiting an Account Manager to support the Central & Lower North Island regions. In this role, you’ll take ownership of your territory, build strong face‑to‑face relationships with retailers, and work closely with NZWS’s established dealer network to support regional performance. It’s an opportunity to connect with customers, uncover new opportunities, and make a meaningful difference to the company’s ongoing success – ideal for someone who thrives out in the field, enjoys a mix of relationship management and territory development, and brings a confident, commercially minded approach!

Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow your territory through regular in‑person engagement and structured call planning
  • Build trusted, long‑term relationships with retailers, dealers, and key customer groups
  • Identify new business opportunities, re‑engage dormant accounts, and maintain a strong pipeline
  • Support new product launches and promotional activity in market
  • Deliver technical product training and support to retailers, ensuring confidence with NZWS’s product range
  • Use customer and product performance data to guide decision‑making and shape territory strategy
  • Provide accurate reporting, forecasting, and market insights to support wider business planning

Location / Territory
This is a fully remote position, with NZWS’s head office based in Auckland and their customers and dealer network located throughout the country. You can work from home anywhere within the designated region and spend regular time on the road meeting retailers face to face.

What You’ll Bring

  • Proven experience in account management, territory sales, or business development
  • A track record of generating leads, building pipeline, and growing regional markets
  • The ability to build rapport quickly and confidently across varied customer environments
  • Technical confidence – comfortable learning detailed product features and delivering retailer training
  • Strong relationship‑building, communication, and influencing capability
  • A proactive, self‑directed approach, supported by solid planning and organisational skills
  • Experience in construction, home products, manufacturing, or technical solutions (advantageous)
  • Comfort working remotely and spending significant time travelling within your territory
  • A full, clean driver’s licence
