Our client
This is a unique Executive Assistant opportunity within the Aotearoa Health Sector, supporting an overarching vision of people living longer in good health, having improved quality of life, and equity in services provided across all groups.

The role

This role sits within one of four regional teams, reporting to the Regional Director (RD). The Executive Assistant will contribute to the overall performance of the business group by providing professional executive support and advice to the Regional Director and their reports. This pivotal role ensures the Regional Director is well supported in their daily activities.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Provide executive, administrative and secretarial support
  • Ensure inbox and diary management is coordinated, and deal with diary conflicts and prioritising workflow
  • Coordinate with other Executive Support roles to best support the wider Leadership team
  • Work collectively up and across the business support team
  • Ensure effective management of activities and operations of the Regional Director

About you
As an Executive Assistant professional you will be the face of the region, and walk alongside the RD, and role model manaakitanga, kaitiakitanga and rangatiratanga. Your ability to strengthen relationships and connect with others is pivotal in being successful in this role.
As well as a wide range of stakeholders, you will connect with Iwi leaders in the region, and maintain good relationships with Iwi and whanau. You will ensure all work is well planned, to achieve optimal results through high quality service and advice.

Key requirements for this role:

  • 3+ years previous experience as an Executive Assistant in a medium to large organisation
  • Advanced skills in the MS Office Suite with special emphasis on Outlook, SharePoint & Microsoft Teams
  • Excellent organisational skills along with initiative, a high level of accuracy and respect for confidentiality
  • A great team player with a good sense of humour and aroha
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
  • Able to demonstrate an understanding of the significance and obligations under Te Tiriti o Waitangi, including how to apply Te Tiriti principles in a meaningful way in your role
