We’re seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to join us on a temporary 3-4 month assignment, supporting payroll operations across a national workforce. This role offers hybrid working arrangements and is a hands‑on position with no direct reports.
About the role
Reporting to the Shared Services Finance Manager, you’ll take ownership of end‑to‑end payroll delivery, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with relevant legislation and internal policies.
Key responsibilities
- End‑to‑end payroll processing, including adjustments and special payments
- Ensuring payroll accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting
- Maintaining payroll data, records, and confidentiality standards
- Responding to employee payroll queries promptly and professionally
- Working closely with Finance, HR, and system partners to resolve issues
- Identifying and implementing payroll process improvements
About you
- Proven experience in a Payroll Manager or senior payroll role
- Strong knowledge of payroll legislation and compliance requirements
- Confident using payroll systems and advanced Excel
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Comfortable working in a hybrid, flexible environment
