Student Services Coordinator

Make a real difference in students’ lives We are seeking an organised, people-focused Student Services Coordinator to join a well-established education provider based in Newmarket.

This is a varied and rewarding role sitting at the heart of the student experience. You’ll provide administrative, operational and pastoral support across the full student lifecycle, from initial enquiry and enrolment through to programme completion.

Working closely with students, secondary schools, whānau and internal stakeholders, you’ll play a key role in ensuring students receive the support, guidance and resources they need to succeed.

This position would suit someone who enjoys balancing administration with relationship management and takes pride in creating positive outcomes for others.

About the Role
As the Student Services Coordinator you’ll be a key point of contact for students and visitors, helping to deliver a seamless and supportive experience while ensuring compliance and administrative requirements are met.

You’ll work across a variety of functions, contributing to both student success and the smooth day-to-day operation of the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support prospective and current students throughout their educational journey
  • Manage admissions, enrolment and onboarding processes
  • Maintain accurate student records and compliance documentation
  • Assist students with StudyLink, RealMe and Public Trust requirements
  • Coordinate student ID cards, transcripts, certificates and completion documentation
  • Support secondary school programmes, enrolments and attendance reporting
  • Act as the first point of contact for student enquiries and reception visitors
  • Assist with student engagement initiatives and organisational events
  • Prepare reports, maintain databases and ensure audit-ready records
  • Support day-to-day operational activities to ensure the smooth running of the organisation

About You
To be successful in this role, you’ll bring:

  • Previous experience in administration, customer service, student services, education administration or a similar support-focused role
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams
  • Experience working with databases, CRM systems or student management platforms
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach to problem-solving
  • A genuine passion for supporting people and helping them succeed
  • The ability to build positive relationships with people from diverse backgrounds

Important Requirement:
Applicants must hold a full, clean New Zealand driver’s licence and be confident driving company vehicles when required for operational errands, deliveries and organisational support activities.
