We’re seeking an experienced Sterile Services Technician for an immediate start in Christchurch. This is a full-time, 4-week temporary assignment, with the potential for the successful candidate to transition into a 12-month fixed-term position.

About the Role

• Full-time hours, Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm
• Immediate start
• 4-week temporary assignment
• Potential for a 12-month fixed-term opportunity
• Cleaning, inspecting, assembling, sterilising, and distributing surgical instruments and medical equipment
• Maintaining infection prevention and quality standards
• Supporting busy theatre and clinical teams to deliver excellent patient care

Skills & Experience

• Current experience as a Sterile Services Technician 
• NZ Certificate in Sterilisation (Level 4)
• Strong knowledge of sterilisation practices, infection prevention, and quality standards
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Reliable, proactive, and professional approach
• Endoscopy reprocessing experience desirable
• Experience with orthopaedic instrumentation and loan equipment highly desirable
