Due to continued growth and a focus on finance transformation, KidsCan is seeking an experienced Systems Accountant to join the finance team at their Albany head office.

This is a newly created position that will become the key finance subject matter expert for NetSuite, helping optimise systems, improve reporting capability, drive automation initiatives, and support continuous improvement across the organisation.

About the Role

Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will play a pivotal role in supporting and enhancing KidsCan’s finance systems environment while working closely with key stakeholders across the business. 

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Acting as the Finance SME for NetSuite
  • Understanding end-to-end processes across finance, inventory, CRM, reporting, fixed assets, budgeting and forecasting
  • Managing finance-related system configurations, workflows and master data
  • Supporting ERP optimisation and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Developing dashboards, reports, financial models and business insights
  • Providing system support, training and guidance to users
  • Identifying opportunities for automation and process improvements
  • Supporting month-end reporting and financial operations
  • Assisting with annual financial statements, GST returns and the audit process
  • Leveraging Power BI, Excel and reporting tools to improve business decision-making
  • Partnering with finance leadership to drive transformation initiatives and improve efficiency across the finance function.

What We’re Looking For

We are keen to hear from systems-focused accounting professionals who enjoy working at the intersection of finance, technology and process improvement.

You will ideally bring:

  • Accounting or finance qualifications, with CA/CPA advantageous but not essential
  • Strong ERP systems experience, ideally NetSuite
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Experience with system administration, workflow configuration and reporting
  • Knowledge of financial operations, month-end processes and reporting
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capability
  • Experience with Power BI or similar reporting tools
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • A proactive mindset and passion for automation and continuous improvement
  • The ability to work collaboratively while confidently taking ownership of system-related initiatives.
  • Candidates with strong ERP experience from other platforms will also be considered.
